About
Simon Solar was started in 2011 by Steve Ivey in Brentwood TN. The iconic first solar project started by Simon Solar is a 30MW utility scale solar array
that powers about 8000 homes in Social Circle, Georgia for decades.
When Steve signed the GA Power Power Purchase Agreement that created the largest solar array east of the Mississippi River. This
landmark project set the southern United States on a trailblazing
path of building solar that is still being lit up today. The state of
Georgia alone is now powered with over 1500 MW of solar
statewide and Simon Solar has implemented solar
projects now around other southern states.
Innovation is great, but implementation is key.
